Blast From the Past

Sunday, June 12, 2005

I was going through old files on my computer tonight, and I came across the very first Word doc I started for Danger Patrol, from 1999. Here's the second paragraph:

The players create their ensemble, rather than making individual characters. At the start of each Chapter (or session) the roles can be swapped among players.

Six years later, and I re-invent the friggin' wheel.

Yeah, I hate that, too.

For the longest time, I kept reinventing the history of the Durga (dwarves) in my Agyris campaign. Wasn't until I had a good reference (like a website) that I could stop reinventing the wheel all the time.

Daniel, your "reference" is one of the coolest sites on the web. I'm a big Agyris fan. Also Klang Saga! Okay, so it's not out yet... but I will be a Klang fan. Soon. It will be soon, yes?

Hi John -

Thanks much! I appreciate the nice things you've said about my work over the last couple of years.

I'm trying to get back to KLANGin'... I just got a G5 just for that purpose, but I'm lately distracted by drawing monsters. (www.secretcreatures.com) It's just so fun and easy.

Huge projects like KLANG are very, very tough to complete. But I'm tryin'. I'm going to Comicon this year, just to get inspired to finish. Hopefully next year, I can enter it into their Film Fest.

(sorry so long winded...)

We should trade email.

Hmm, "Agyris", huh? Let's see...

Ooooooooh, pretty map! With hexes!

Clearly this is somewhere for me to explore during my, ahem, lunch hour. Yes, that's it.

Daniel, you are a dynamo of creative goodness. If one amazing project is delayed by another amazing project... well, we can hardly complain about that, can we? Secret Creatures is awesome.

Feel free to write me any time. oneseven at gmail dot com.
