Go Play NW Jr.

Sunday, August 03, 2008

Chris Bennett had so much fun at GPNW this year, he wanted more. So, he arranged to fly up to Seattle for the weekend of July 26th and asked if any local story gamers wanted to do some gaming. The answer was a resounding YES. So, Go Play NW Jr. was born. Carl Rigney also decided to fly up from Cali, and several people drove up from Oregon and southern Washington. In short order, we had 20+ people on the list for games.

Thanks to the goodwill and generosity of my friend and boss, Ian Saunders, we were able to play at my office, giving us plenty of gaming space for a couple dozen people. We had five gaming slots over two days, going from 9am to Midnight on Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. Many games were played, including: In A Wicked Age, D&D 4th Edition, Carry, Lacuna, The Roach, Don't Rest Your Head, The Believers, Knock, and 3:16 (Space Marines!).

Much fun was had by all. Once again, we see that the fine folks of Story Games know how to bring the heat! Not only can you all give fun, inspiring game play at a moment's notice, but you're also kind, respectful, and friendly people who make it effortless to organize and setup an event like this. Thanks so much to everyone who participated.

That map is from RPGmapshare.com. I edited it slightly (it's actually much larger). They have tons of great map stuff there.
